Our History

Greg  Pierson has performed in and around the Cincinnati Area at venues such as The Blind Lemon, The Black  Family Reunion various churches, and other opportunities. He has also been involved in several recording projects and has been blessed to share music with many wonderful musicians and vocalists. He is currently part of the Mother of Christ Catholic Church  Gospel Choir where he has served for 42 years as a musician, singer, and music leader.

Stephan Young has been involved with liturgical music, throughout his musical career. It began initially in The New Jerusalem Community in Cincinnati Ohio and is currently serving as a music minister at St. Robert Bellarmine Parish on

the campus of Xavier University. For several years he was part of an ensemble that used mime and music to preach the Good News. His original compositions are created from his personal experience of a God who deeply loves and cares for his people and challenges them to create a better world.

The original Christian music of The Pierson-Young Project is music, uniquely blended for prayer, praise, and reflection; delivered in a variety of genres. From the reggae rhythms of "Ask and You'll Receive" to the  R&B Gospel sounds of "I Feel Joy"  My Morning Song invites the listener to imagine what the return of Jesus might be like.

“We use our gifts as musicians, singers and

songwriters to assist others in deepening their

faith experience and come to appreciate the

“great things God is doing among us”.

In our conversation with host Demi Michelle Schwartz, we explored how we came together and what it means to us to write songs with positive messages.
